Touched by kindness …

Dear Editor:
On Sept. 27, 2009, my children and I suffered a sudden and tragic loss.

Our daily dose of love, honesty and humor that helped us make sense of our lives was gone.

In the days and weeks that followed however, we gained a new perspective on what our Vera Dell meant to the people of Manning and beyond. We were touched by your kind and personal messages, visits and memorials.

Her family would like to extend our thanks to all who have offered us comfort, adults and children alike, in order for us to begin our healing process.

As her memories will remain in our hearts forever, so will the influence and life lessons she bestowed on all who crossed her path.
