Kudos to Fred Bennett …

Dear Editor:
As a Manning High School and University of South Carolina alumnus, I want to congratulate Manning native Fred Bennett on a great NFL rookie season. He finished with 62 tackles, 14 breakups and three interceptions to help lead the Houston Texans to their best record in franchise history (8-8). Reminiscent to his All-SEC career at Carolina, Bennett is turning out to be one of the better cover corners in pro football. Good luck to Fred in 2008!
