CSD1 files school lines injunction, complaint

One day before the Clarendon County Board of Education was supposed to meet on the issue of the school district lines, Clarendon School District 1 Attorney Dwight Moore filed an injunction temporarily barring the board from meeting on the matter.
Moore also filed a complaint on behalf of CSD1 naming Clarendon County Council Chairman Dwight Stewart, the Clarendon County Council as a whole, Clarendon County Board of Education Chairman George Wilson, the Clarendon County Board of Education as a whole, CSD2 Superintendent John Tindal and the district as a whole.

F.E. DuBose instructor creates a Marion masterpiece

Francis Marion, the famous revolutionary war hero, known as the “Swamp Fox” for outsmarting the British Tories is soon going to be in 3-D form thanks to F.E. Dubose Career Center’s welding instructor Axel Reis and the students of the welding department.
Reis said that he is going to combine all the elements of the state landscape to make the statue as real as possible.

Manning Primary School celebrates S.C. Night

“Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the Morning,” or at least that’s how the song goes.
That song and others such as “Carolina On My Mind,” and “Carolina Girls,” were just some of the many beautiful things sung about the Palmetto State at Manning Primary School’s South Carolina Night, May 1.
