William Andrew Murphy

William Andrew Murphy, 50, husband of Billie Marie Lowder Murphy, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Born July 12, 1957, in Charleston, he was a son of Norman Author Murphy and Caroline Sineath Girouard. He was a retired auto mechanic, a United States Army veteran, and a member of Summerton Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother of Johns Island; father of Cross; wife of Summerton; a daughter, Kristie Murphy of Summerton; two sons, Joshua Leon and Brandon Murphy of Summerton; four sisters, Carol Clark and Arlean Burt of Cross, Dolly Gay of Goose Creek, and Pam Mauldin of Ladson; two brothers, Norman Murphy of Tennessee and Eugene Girouard of Johns Island; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 10, 2007, in Summerton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rob Pierce officiating.
