Theresa L. Johnson
Theresa Lynelle Johnson, 19, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at her residence in Clarendon County.
Born Dec. 24, 1987, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of Roy Carpenter and the late Barbara Johnson. She began her formal education at Reeseville Avenue School in Newark, and once she relocated to South Carolina she received her high school diploma from Scott’s Branch High School in Summerton. Upon graduation, she was employed by Wal-Mart Stores in Manning. She was a member of Historic Liberty Hill AME Church. She was a fun-loving person and her gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Ann Johnson.
Those whose lives were touched by her laughter and love are her beautiful daughter, Essence Kylami Johnson; two brothers, Rodrick Johnson of Newark and Darrel (Tesha) Hall of Orange, N.J.; her grandfather, Franklin Johnson Sr.; an uncle, Franklin (Patricia) Johnson Jr. of Sumter; two aunts, Celestine Bethea and Karima Abdul-Latif; her godmother, Barbara Carr; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Theresa Lynelle Johnson were held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Historic Liberty Hill AME Church with the Rev. Dr. Melvin Jerome Capers, pastor, officiating.
Burial followed in Ivory Cemetery in Davis Station.
Summerton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
