Julia Brunson
Julia Pauline “Juline” Elliott Brunson, 73, widow of Carl Lynward “Ned” Brunson, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at her home in Summerton.
Born Sept. 15, 1933, in Summerton, she was a daughter of the late Robert Venning Elliott and the late Julia Cantey Elliott. She was former clerk-treasurer for the Town of Summerton for 24 years, and a member of Summerton Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Julie Brunson of Summerton; a son, Robert Matthew (Jo) Brunson of Ridgeland; daughter-in-law, Sharon Goldin of Columbia; two sisters, Kitty Ermis of Summerton and Jennie Bonnette of Cope; two brothers, Joseph C. Elliott of Aiken and Roddy Elliott of Silver; three granddaughters, Frances (Donnie) Feagin, Jennifer (Brian) Alsbrooks and Sarah Brunson; three great-grandsons, Austin and Joseph Alsbrooks and Lyn Feagin; and caregiver, Ethel Mae Stinney.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl L. Brunson Jr.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, in Summerton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Garland Hart officiating.
Burial followed in Summerton Evergreen Cemetery.
