Wal-Mart honors neighborhood heroes

The grant checks for $750 each were given to Shaffer and Bailey as part of Wal-Mart’s “Safe Neighborhood Heroes” Grant, which honors emergency response organizations and local law enforcement groups. “These men and women that serve our communities every day are our neighborhood heroes because of their courage and tireless commitment to keep us safe, whether by individual acts of bravery or by daily attention to public safety,” said Hicks.
