Dorothy Sue Richburg

Dorothy Sue Richburg, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at National Healthcare of Sumter.

Born Nov. 27, 1929, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Oscar P. and Sue Richbourg Richburg. She retired after 35 years as a sales clerk at Belk Deptartment Store in Manning. She was a member of Jordan United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Colleen R. Kennedy and Lila Jean Richburg, both of Manning; a brother, Oscar P. Richburg Jr. of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddie Richburg, Basil Richburg and Ernest E. Richburg.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, in Jordan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Devere Williams and the Rev. Debra Quilling officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lamar Kennedy, Jay Carter, Jody Ard, David Casselman, Marty James and Archie Stukes.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
