Lemmon B. Morris
Lemmon Beasley Morris, 80, husband of Agnes McGilton Morris, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at his home in Manning.
Born Sept. 24, 1927, in Alcolu, he was a son of the late Perry McDonald Morris and the late Eunice Morris Morris Parker. He was a retired dispatcher for Seaboard Coastline Railroad, a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of Second Baptist Church in Manning.
Surviving besides his wife of Manning are a daughter, Mary (Waddy) Blackmon of Merritt Island, Fla.; a son, Curtis Morris of Port St. John, Fla.; a sister, Iris Richburg of Manning; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Smitty Morris.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Rev. Pec Chatham and the Rev. Ashley Mofield officiating.
Burial followed in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alcolu.
Pallbearers were Rodney Richburg, Robbie Richburg, Shaun Richburg, Cole Richburg, Chris Richburg, Kerry Brewer, Ronald Blackmon and Daniel Caulkins.
Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Reynolds, Michael Prindle and the men of Second Baptist Church.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
