Thelma F. Rouse
ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Thelma Fulton Rouse, 67, widow of Ruben Rouse, died Oct. 21, 2007, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville.
Born Feb. 24, 1940, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Louis Fulton and Hester Earline Martin Fulton. She was a 1960 graduate of Manning Training High School and furthered her education at Morris College and Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria, Va. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include one son, Reuben (Donna) Rouse of Silver Springs, Md.; two daughters, Tammy (Roger) Williams of Gaithersburg, Md., and Sandra Rouse of Germantown, Md.; four brothers, Louis Fulton Jr., McNiel Fulton, Albertis (Jackie) Fulton and Johnnie (Elease) Fulton; one sister, Queen Frierson of Manning; an aunt, Leola Martin; special relative, Virginia “Nell” Brandon; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dora Mae Fulton Frierson, and one brother, Nathaniel Fulton.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Mount Zero Missionary Baptist Church in Paxville, with the Rev. Dennis Jeffcoat officiating, the Rev. Etheleen Bethune, the Rev. Michael Abraham and Dr. John Wilson.
Burial was in the Mount Zero Baptist Church cemetery.
Fleming and DeLaine Funeral Home of Manning was in charge of services.
