Canzile Bosier
NEW YORK -- Canzile Bosier, 87, departed this earthly life very peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at San Souci Nursing Home located in Yonkers, N.Y.
Born Nov. 21, 1920, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late James Green and the late Sally Holiday Green.
She spent most of her life in Clarendon County, where she also attended the local school and united with Christ at Mount Pleasant UME Church. She served in many capacities during her tenure at Mount Pleasant.
She was employed for many years at both Briggs Nursing Home in Silver and Campbell Soup Co. in Sumter. She loved her work and placed much emphasis on getting the job done.
She was a fun loving person and lived a life filled with many happy days.
Those left to grow from her legacy of love are her children, Thelma Wilson of Bronx, N.Y., Viola (John) Myers of Pinewood, Sally (Mathew) Boyd of Wappingers Fall, N.Y., Canzie (Woodrow) Brown and Dorothy (Elijah) Watson, all of Yonkers, and Gervine Bell of New Jersey; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a godson, Chance Conyers; an uncle, Jippy Holiday; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at Mount Pleasant UME Church with the Rev. Barry Gadsen officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Summerton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
