Arthur Miller

Arthur “Man Babe” Miller, 56, husband of Marie Wilson, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.

Born Nov. 14, 1950, in New Zion, Clarendon County, he was the son of the late Russell Miller Sr. and Hattie Fleming Miller. He received his formal education at Walker-Gamble High School. He accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Howard Chapel AME Church. He was a farmer and was employed with McFadden and Gamble Farms.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Wilson of the home; one son, Eric Wilson of the home; one daughter, Marcella Wilson of the home; two brothers, Russell (Mildred) Miller Jr. and James H. Miller, both of Turbeville; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Hayes F. and LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel in Manning, with the Rev. Lucious Wheeler, presiding, and Pastor Veronica White, eulogist.

Burial was in Howard Chapel AME Church cemetery in New Zion.

Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
