Donald C. Ardis Sr.

Donald Clifton Ardis Sr., age 82, beloved husband of 33 years to Juanita Pringle Ardis, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Ardis was born in Pinewood, a son of the late John and Lena Bartlett Ardis. He worked with the Work Project Administration during the Depression to help dig Lake Marion. He was a painter, contractor and carpenter.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Calvin Ardis of Manning, Jeffery (Theresa) Ardis of Sumter and Donald C. (Wanda) Ardis Jr. of Moncks Corner; seven daughters, Theresa Goins of Florence, Donna (Winston) Jewell of Sumter, Tammy (Reggie) Regalado of Sumter, Andrea (Jerry) Lamb of Manning, Diedra Ardis of Sumter, Amy Ardis and her husband, Clifford Clay, of Beaufort and Delilah Ardis of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Tammy Williams of Sumter; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at the Green Acres Assembly of God with the Rev. Donnie Collins officiating.
