Julian B. Thompson

Julian Bryan Thompson, 76, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Crosswell Baptist Church in Sumter with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating.

Julian was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Alcolu. His parents were the late Hugh Edward and Callie Daniels Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gwendolyn Thompson of Wichita Falls; daughter, Roxanne (shaun) Lopez of Hurst, Texas; and two grandsons, Bryan and David Lopez. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Link and Cleo DuBose, both of Sumter; and two brothers, Murray Thompson of Sumter and Hugh Ray Thompson of Alcolu.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Thompson, Billy Thompson and Harold Thompson; and five sisters, Eve Lee, Caro Andrews, Hazel Boyce, “Dot” Floyd and Cecile Thompson.
