Louis N. Green Sr.

Louis Nathaniel “Munsey” Green Sr., 54, entered eternal rest on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, in Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.

He was the son of Elizabeth Gaymon Green and the late Ben Green Sr., born May 26, 1953, in Rimini. He was the husband of Luetina Riley Green. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and obtained many certifications and licenses. He was reared in a Christian home and joined Mount Pleasant UME Church in Panola at an early age. Louis was employed at Santee Print Works in Sumter until his health failed.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a loving wife, Luetina Riley Green of the home; his mother, Elizabeth Gaymon Green of Rimini; two daughters, Sharon Green of Columbia and Shanai Green of the home; one son, Louis N. Green Jr. of the home; one granddaughter, Janiyah Bracy of Columbia; one sister, Roberta (Cleveland) Sweat of Manning; two brothers, Lawrence (Gardenia) Green and James (Kathy) Green, both of Rimini; his father-in-law, Louis Riley of Rimini; five sisters-in-law, Mary Lee (Samuel) Nelson, Tina Riley, Margaretta Green, Delilah Green and Carolyn Caldwell; one brother-in-law, Jacob (Ruthann) Riley; five aunts, Mary Brown, Lillie Mae Prickett, Willeen (Francis) John and Mary Jefferson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Green and Ben Green Jr.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Antioch UME Church in Rimini with Jonathan Smith, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Barry Gadsen, the Rev. Willie Green and the Rev. G.K. Carter.

Burial followed in the Spring Grove Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home of Sumter was in charge of these arrangements.
