Rena Flossie Mack

Rena Mack, 99, died Sept. 19, 2007, at CMC Northeast Medical Center in Concord, N.C.

She was the firstborn on Sept. 16, 1908, and the daughter of the late Flander Green and Nora Green in Summerton. Rena met and fell in love with the late Rufus Mack, and they were married in Summerton. She was the mother of Maybelline Brunson, Robert Mack, Rufus Mack, James Mack, George Mack, Nora Mack, Blanche Johnson, Marcus Mack, John Mack, Precious Gibson and Steven Mack.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Francis Nelson, Mary Green Starks and Martha Greene Huggins; two sons, Rufus and George Mack; and one daughter, Nora Mack.

Rena was a member of Taw Caw Baptist Church for many years and was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services were Sunday at Taw Caw Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. W.T. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

King Funeral Home of Summerton was in charge of arrangements.
