Rose Mary Fairweather
Rose Mary “Rosie” Fairweather, 75, widow of Robert Edwin Fairweather, died Sept. 17, 2007, at the home of her daughter. She was formerly of Middletown, N.Y.
Born on June 24, 1932, in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Lizzi Paonessa. She was a member of Wyboo Community Church in Manning. Rosie loved her family, friends, fishing, bowling and playing pinnocle.
Survivors include her sons, Henry Fairweather and his wife, Stephanie, David Fairweather and his wife, Debra, and Steven Fairweather and his wife, Kellie, all of Middletown, and Robert Fairweather of Newburgh, N.Y.; a daughter, Carol Morse and her husband, Mark, of Sumter; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Philomena (Fanny) Kane of Clinton Hollow, N.Y.; three brothers, James Paonessa of Hyde Park, N.Y., Thomas Paonessa of Wappingers Falls and Anthony Paonessa of North Point, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by brothers, Dominic, Frank and John Paonessa; and sisters, Theresa Shrader, Anna Habinowski and Mary Manfredo.
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Wyboo Community Church in Manning with the Rev. Jerry Hodge officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of Santee Hematology, Hospice Care of Tri County, Tuomey Regional Medical Center Oncology Unit in Sumter, the family of God at Wyboo Community Church in Manning, and her many friends for their loving care, thoughts and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wyboo Community Church Building Fund, S.C. 260 Manning, SC 29102.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter was in charge of the arrangements.
