Gina M. Yates

Gina Marie Yates, 41, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center after an illness.
Born March 18, 1966, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Sally Goff Yates and Norris Yates.

She was employed by Piggly Wiggly of Sumter for 25 years.

Survivors include her mother of Sumter; her father of Manning; a daughter, Regan Yates of Sumter; her fiancé, Roger Ardis of Sumter; a sister, Robin Yates; and nephew, Lane Browder, both of Sumter.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Louise Goff of Sumter and Sam and Bessie Yates of Turbeville.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Goff officiating.

Burial was in the Pinewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rocky Kirven, Andy Kirven, Joe Buddin, Rhett Scott, David Bethea and Larry Goff.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter was in charge of arrangements.
