Betty G. Thomas
Betty G. Thomas, 72, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.
Born Oct. 1, 1934, in Greeleyville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph White Gamble and the late Cora Dennis Gamble White. She was a retired shipping supervisor for Warsaw Manufacturing, worked at the Rail Car in Greeleyville and was a member of Greeleyville Free Will Baptist Church “Little White Church.”
Surviving are a daughter, Sondra Dianne (Roger) Haselden of Andrews; a son, Jerry L. (Bridgett) Taylor of Kingstree; three sisters, Beatrice Cottingham, Lola Disher and Mary Ann Welch, all of Greeleyville; two brothers, Kenneth Gamble and Guy Gamble of Greeleyville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph L. Gamble; and a grandson, Joshua P. Short.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Revs. Freddie Gaymon, Adam Anderson and Carl Miles officiating.
Burial followed in the Little White Church Cemetery in Greeleyville.
Pallbearers weree Jesse E. Short, Jonathan R. Short, Woody Taylor, Brian Gamble, Lynn Gamble and Jeremy Welch.
Honorary pallbearers were Mildred Grimsley, Heather Ragland and Crystal Gamble.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
