Robert Clifford Covan

Robert Clifford Covan, 45, of the St. Paul Community of Summerton, died Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton.

Born July 4, 1962, in Montgomery, Alabama, he was a son of the late Ellis Clifford and Willie Jo Brooks Covan. He was employed by the Vocational Center at the Dept. of Social Services.

Surviving are a brother, David (Gina) Covan of Lugoff; two sisters, Diane Covan of Chapin, and Billie Jo (Randy) Sweat of Sumter; six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning.

Burial followed in Sumter Cemetery.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
