Katherine Belser

GEORGIA – Katherine Belser, 75, of Stone Mountain, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Golden Living Nursing Home in Decatur, Ga.

She was born May 30, 1932, in Summerton, to the late Robert White and the late Julia Kind. Taking care of her grandchildren was her passion. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary “Lil Mary” Stukes, and a sister, Margaret James Canady.

Those left to grow from her love and celebrate her life are a husband, Charlie Belser of Summerton; a son, Mitchell Kind of Stone Mountain; a daughter, Georgia (Andre’) Hibbert of Stone Mountain; a brother, James (Rosa) Kind Jr.; six grandchildren, Michael Kind, Jennifer Kind, Randi Dingle, Sierra Hibbert, Andre’ Hibbert Jr. and Amir Hibbert; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at Scott’s Branch High School gymnasium with Bishop J.L. Gilliam officiating.

Burial followed in the Ivory Cemetery in Davis Station.

Summerton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
