Oscar F. DuBose Sr.
GILBERT – Mr. Oscar Frankline DuBose, 76, passed away on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007.
Born July 31, 1931, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Robert Fleetwood and Rena Rich DuBose Sr. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilbert. Mr. DuBose was a plumber with W.O. Blackstone and Co. He also served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. DuBose was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
Mr. DuBose is survived by his wife, JoAnn Douglas DuBose of Gilbert; daughter, Lynn D. Eaton (Randy) of Hilton Head; sons, Frank DuBose Jr. of Gilbert, Alan DuBose of Trenton and Mike DuBose of Gilbert; six grandchildren, Greg and Amanda DuBose, Travis and Brooke DuBose and Zack and Anna Eaton; sisters, Myrtle Brunson and Miriam Ford, both of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Eugene and Brooks DuBose.
The family would like to thank Agape Community Hospice, Lynn Cain, Delia Smith and Pam Thomas.
Funeral services for Oscar Franklin DuBose Sr., 76, were held on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at First Baptist Church of Gilbert.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
