Clarice M. Lee
LYNCHBURG –Mrs. Clarice M. Lee, age 93, died on Monday, July 30, 2007 at a Florence Nursing Facility after an illness.
Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel McElveen and Viola E. McClam McElveen. Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and was a member of the Olanta Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Lee; four brothers, Ray McElveen. Milburn McElveen, Wyatt McElveen, Cecil McElveen.
She is survived by a daughter, Mae L. (Jerry) Galloway of Huntsville, Ala.; a son, Kenneth (Hazel) Lee of Turbeville; a sister, Valorie M. Johnson of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, Edward McElveen and Earl (Gladys) McElveen both of Charlotte and Legrand (Clara) McElveen of Bishopville.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in the Chapel of Floyd Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Southland Health Care Center for their care and kindness during their mother’s illness.
