Delicia Green
MIAMI, Fla. – Delicia “Deka” Green, of Miami, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at her home.
Born July 9, 1976, in Miami, she was a daughter of Paul Thomas and Geanice Green June and stepdaughter of the late Alphonza “Al” June.
She attended worship services at Laurel Hill AME Church and received her formal education at South Dade Senior High School in Miami. She was a 2004 graduate of F.E. DuBose Career Center in Manning and was enrolled as a senior at Chattanooga State Technical College in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was scheduled to graduate in December 2007.
Survivors besides her mother of Manning and father of Miami include a sister, Kizzy Ann (Dean) Johnson of Miami; two brothers, Eugene D. (Lisa) Green of Bishopville and Patrick Green of Humble, Texas; a stepbrother, Derrick (Loretta) Lessene of Columbia; and maternal grandmothers, Thelma Green of Miami and Julia Walker of Sumter.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at Laurel Hill AME Church in Davis Station, with the Rev. Ronnie Brown, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Ivory Cemetery.
