John W. Brinson

John W. “Billy” Brinson, 68, husband of Maggie Lorine McClain Brinson, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at his home.

Born in Alcolu, he was a son of the late Homer Boyd Brinson and the late Vermelle Morris Brinson.
He was retired from Yuasa Exide.

Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Danny Boyd (Angela) Brinson and Joel Stokes Brinson, both of Sumter; a daughter, Lori A. (Edward) Pack; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Kirby C. Brinson Sr. of Sumter; and a sister, Betty B. Bramlette of Sumter.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Leonard Bartlette officiating.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter was in charge of arrangements.
