William E. Viger Sr.

William Emil Viger Sr., age 83, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, after an illness.

Born in Hartford, Conn., he was a son of the late Emil Viger and Nellie Louise Eyre Viger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served during World War II, and was a retired plant manager of a chemical plating company. Mr. Viger’s family was his crowning achievement.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, William Allen Viger.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian Lila Coker Viger; two daughters, Carol (James) Allen of Turbeville and Patricia (Carl) DeRosa of Orange, Conn.; three sons, William E. 0(Linda) Viger Jr. of West Haven, Conn., Christopher C. (Karen) Viger Sr. of Turbeville and Toby J. (Frances) Viger of Turbeville; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held on Thursday, Ju;y 12, 2007, at the Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Turbeville.
