David M. Dennis

David Michael Dennis, 40, son of Whaley and Dianne McKenzie Dennis, died at his home in Turbeville.

Mr. Dennis was born Oct. 28, 1966, in Manning. He was a retired roofer and carpenter and a member of New Start Community Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving besides his parents of Manning are three daughters, Ashley Dennis and Amy Dennis, both of Vermont, and Hope Dennis of Sumter; a brother, Rocky Dennis of Manning; two sisters, Debbie Gutierrez of Manning and Sandra McElveen of Turbeville; a grandson, Kyle Anthony Call of Vermont; and a number of nieces of nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at New Start Community Church with the Rev. Dale Turner officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Terry McLeod, Danny McLeod, Gary McElveen, Brent McElveen, Jeff Meares, Harold Hodge and Brian Bochette.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
