Jane M. Thomas
LIZELLA, Ga. – Jane Mack Thomas, age 51, died June 22, 2007, at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Vascoe Rozier III in Lizella.
Born July 22, 1955, in Clarendon County, she was the daughter of Susie Mae Cain Mack and the late Harvin Mack Sr. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined Society Hill AME Church. She received her education in the public schools of Clarendon County and graduated in 1973. She attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Ga. She was employed for 18 years as general manager with Roses Inc., Macon, Ga.
She is survived by her mother, Susie Mae Cain Mack of Manning; maternal grandmother, Lennie Mack of Manning; four sisters, Daisy Epps of Columbia, Dorothy (Randy) Dent and Catherine (Vascoe) Rozier III, both of Macon, and Azalee Mack of Manning; seven brothers, Harvin (Deborah) Mack Jr. of Sumter, Leon (Glenda) Mack of Fayetteville, N.C., Curtiss (Petra) Mack and Kelvin (Delois) Mack, both of Columbia, James (Brenda) Mack of Manning, Ray Charles Mack of Atlanta and Timothy (Iris) Mack of Sewell, N.J.
She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Thomas.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Manning Junior High School with the Rev. Hezikiah Gibson, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Revs. Sam Miller, Jerry Dingle and Ronald Terry.
Burial followed in the Harvin Mack Sr. Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Manning.
Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
