William B. Sugg

William Britton Sugg, 69, beloved husband of the late Pauline Green, died on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the Sumter Health and Rehab Center.

He was born in Alcolu, a son of the late George Copender Sugg and Zola Mae Britton Sugg. He graduated from Manning High School, served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a florist with Pauline Green for many years.

Surviving are one brother, George Sugg of Pawleys Island; and one sister, Zola Mae Sugg Clayton of Williamston, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Turner Sugg and two sisters, Katherine Sugg Dickson and Mary Sugg Powell.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Davis Cemetery with the Rev. John Patrick officiating.

Bullock Funeral Home of Sumter was in charge of the arrangements.
