Aaron Wayne Ross

Aaron Wayne Ross, 57, husband of Brenda L. Ross, and son of Mary J. and the late Jack Ross, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was a graduate of the Hillcrest High School Class of 1971 and a retired truck driver. Dedicated to his family, he never let a day go by that he didn’t tell his family that he loved them. He touched so many lives and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Robert J. Kirk (Mary Ann Spivey) of Florence; a daughter, Angelia M. Kirk of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Courtney (Jonathan) McElveen and Christian Kirk; a brother, Ronnie Ross of Manning; two sisters, Jackie (Mickey) Doubleman of Cullman, Ala., and Nancy (Ricky) Nunnery of Sumter; his mother-in-law, Beatrice Johnson of Sumter; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 28, 2009, at Crosspoint Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sorrells and Maj. Newt Brown officiating.

Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Memorials be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter was in charge of the arrangements.
