Lila M. Freeman Way

Lila M. Freeman Way, 84, widow of Oswald Way, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at White Oak Nursing Home in North Charleston.

Born April 7, 1923, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie J. and Bertha R. Locklair Freeman. She was a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are sisters, Addie Hilton of Mt. Pleasant and Bertha R. Maddox of N. Charleston; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary J. Mixon, Johnnie H. Corbett, Emily L. Logan and Thelma Howard; and brothers, Ashby D. Freeman, Lonnie J. Freeman, Paul D. Freeman and Silas D. Freeman.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Live Oak Cemetery, with the Rev. Eddie Freeman officiating.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
