Thomas Stanislaw Rogan, Jr.
Mr. Thomas Stanislaw Rogan, Jr., 71, husband of Rachel McCaskill Rogan, passed away at his home on June 14, 2007.
Mr. Rogan was born June 2, 1930 in Greeleyville, a son of the late Thomas S. Rogan Sr. and Mrs. Edelyn Montgomery Rogan. He was a 1953 graduate of Clemson University where he was a member of the Senior Platoon, an elite drill team. Mr. Rogan was a U.S. army veteran, having served in the Korean War and was a retired dairy farmer. He was an active member of McDowell Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder and was a member of Inglesby Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Rachel McCaskill Rogan, son, Thomas Stanislaw (Nancy) Rogan III and grandson Tom Rogan, all of Columbia; son, Walter William (Melissa) Rogan of Kingstree and granddaughter Marion Rogan (Zach) Moore of Columbia; grandson Walter William (Marie) Rogan Jr. of Charleston and granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Rogan and Catherine Pauline Rogan of Columbia; daughter Mary Rogan (Frederick) Hanna of Columbia and granddaughter Rachel Bishop Hanna and grandson Frederick Newman Hanna Jr.; sisters, Florence Little of Jonesville and Judy Hinson of Kingstree and brother, William D. Rogan of Greeleyville.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 16, 2007, in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in New Market Cemetery.
