Michael J. Houle

Michael Joseph “Bear” Houle, 50, husband of Ann Marie Bell Houle, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.

Born May 9, 1957, in Holyoke, Mass., he was a son of Edward Joseph Houle and the late Mary Lou Phipps Houle. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving besides his wife and father, both of Turbeville, are two sons, Michael Joseph Houle II of Chicopee, Mass., and Kevin Edward Houle of West Springfield, Mass.; a brother, James Joseph Germain of Agawam, Mass.; three sisters, Rosemarie Welch of Gable, Jean McFarland and Joanne Ridgeway, both of New Zion; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 16, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
