Annie W. Hodge
Annie W. Hodge, 85, widow of Joe Hodge, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.
Born in May 4, 1922, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Andrew and Victoria Simms Weaver. She was an inspector for Manning Manufacturing Co. and a member of Clarendon Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph W. “Billy” (Betty) Hodge of Manning and Jimmy H. Hodge of Alcolu; a daughter, Vicki (Roger) Winter of Summerville; a half-brother, Joseph Wright Harper of Olanta; two grandchildren, Karen (Daniel) Leath of Surfside and Kimberly (Michael) Rogers of Manning; and three great-grandchildren, Grant and Collin Rogers, and Katherine J. Leath.
She was preceded in death by a half-brother, Johnny Lee Harper; a brother, William C. Weaver; and half-sisters, Carolyn Robinson and Shirley Alexander.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 15, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning.
Burial followed in Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are the ladies of the adult Sunday school class of Clarendon Baptist Church.
