Jean C. Ardis

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Jean Clemmons Ardis, 67, of Garden City, Ga., passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was born in Wilmington, N.C. As a young child, her family moved to Pinewood, where she was raised and educated. Jean was a devoted wife, mother and sister and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 30 years, Bobby Ardis, and a brother, Ronnie Clemmons.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters Donna (Freddy) Kendrick of Port Wentworth, Ga., and Kimberley Ardis and Angel Aguilar of Garden City, Ga.; one brother, Billy (Patti) Clemmons of Manning; one sister, Barbara C. (Charles) Moss of Winder, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 18, 2007, in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home.

Burial was in Hillcrest West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Chatham County or the American Diabetes Association.

Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.
