Jasper Prince Jr.

Jasper Prince Jr., 58, of 1009 Rye St., entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 21, 1948, in Clarendon County, he was the son of Minnie Lee Davis Prince and the late Jasper Prince Sr. He was the husband of Almeta Burns Prince. He attended the public schools of Clarendon County. In his youth, he joined the Potter’s House Baptist Church in Sumter. He was employed by Southern Coating for 26 years, until his health failed.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving wife, Almeta Burns Prince of the home; his mother, Minnie Davis Prince of Sumter; one son, Tony Prince, and one daughter, Jasmaine Prince, both of Sumter; two sisters, Elouise Wilson and Hattie Mae Voghn, both of Sumter; three brothers, Sammie Lee Prince of Foster, Willie (Brenda) Prince and John (Linda) Prince, both of Sumter; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and AK Prince, and one sister, Sally Mae Prince.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 12, 2007, in the chapel of Community Funeral Home with the Revs. Herbert Burns and James Clarks officiating.

Burial followed in Bradford Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home of Sumter was in charge of arrangements.
