The Clarendon Scene ... as seen in Clarendon

The Manning High AFJROTC Adopt-A-Highway group was recognized at the 2007 Adopt-A-Highway Awards Ceremony for their outstanding job in removing litter from the roadway they adopted in Clarendon County. The award was presented by SCDOT Acting Director Tony Chapman, District Engineering Administrator Jo Ann Woodrum and Federal Highway Administration Division Administrator for South Carolina Bob Lee. Shown from left are: Woodrum, Lee, Chapman and Manning High School student Kristen Hartley.   Four generations of mothers and daughters gathered in Gable to celebrate Mother’s Day. Manning’s Finest beat ProMed 31-12.   Students at Manning Early Childhood Center start each day with “The Morning Show,” a quick update on school activities and lunch menus which is broadcast throughout the school. On Tuesday, May 8, the morning students of Roxanne Hardy, right, and Natasha Scott, left, were featured on “The Morning Show” and led the school in the Pledge of Allegiance.
