Elizabeth B. Stuckey
Elizabeth Bradley Stuckey died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Sumter Health and Rehab after an illness.
She was born October 10, 1913, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Bradley. She was the second born of six siblings; three preceded her in death.
She received her education in the Clarendon County school system. She later met and married Emmanuel Stuckey.
She was a domestic worker for many years. She was a member of Cypress Fork AME Church until relocating to Sumter. She then joined Bethel AME Church where she was a faithful and devoted member. She was also a member of the Stewardess Board and was honored and crowned “Woman of the Year” three times.
She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Henry (Elizabeth) Bradley and Harry (Corine) Bradley of Miami, Fla.; a special and devoted cousin and caretaker, Christine Dicks of Sumter; nine nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 3, 3008, at Bethel AME Church with the pastor, the Rev. Davie Brown, in charge of the eulogy.
Burial followed in Bradford Cemetery.
