Mary Ethlyn B. Snyder
Mary Ethlyn Baker Snyder, 85, widow of Charles W. Snyder, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in National Health Care in Sumter.
Born Nov. 19, 1921, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Lee Alexander and Cordelia Elizabeth Gardner Baker. She was the former owner and operator of Ethlyn’s Flower Shop and The Little Red Barn. She was a member of the Camillia Garden Club in Manning and a member of Manning United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Kay Hunter of Towson, Md.; one son, Charles W. Snyder Jr. of Cordova, Tenn.; three sisters, Jodelle Altman of Oswego, Winetta Majors of Sumter and Louise Dion of Florida; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 27, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Barrett officiating.
Burial followed in the Price-Snyder Cemetery.
