Harriet Lee Evans
Harriet Lee Evans, age 68, died Monday, April 23, 2007, at a Florence hospital, after an illness.
She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Plummer Jacob Thomas and Jessie Aileen Thomas. She was a homemaker, a member of the Teige Cantey Chapter Colonial Dames XVIIC and a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Milton “Bill” Evans, and a brother, Samuel Davis Thomas Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Evans (Dwayne) Coker and Caren Evans (Buck) Turbeville of New Zion; two sons, William Ellis (Melissa) Evans and Donald Thomas (Jennifer) Evans of New Zion; a sister, Carol Thomas McGee of Lexington; and eight grandchildren.
