Elmer E. Davis

Elmer Eugene Davis, 82, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.

Born Feb. 15, 1925, in Marion, N.C., he was a son of the late Edgar and Elsie Clontz Davis. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a brother, Wilton Davis of Marion, N.C., and a number of nieces and nephews, to include a nephew, Terry (Melody) Davis of Alcolu.

A graveside service was held Monday, April 16, 2007, in the Trinity United Methodist Church cemetery in Alcolu with the Rev. Kirk Carlisle officiating.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
