Tonny Lee McCray
LYNCHBURG – Tonny Lee McCray, 33, died March 31, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born May 1, 1973, in Lake City, he was a son of Lou Emma McCray and Harvey McKnight Jr. He was a 1993 graduate of Mayewood High School and was employed by M.B. Kahn Construction in Manning. Tonny was a kind, loving and caring young man who greeted people with a smile.
Survivors besides his mother, Lou Emma McCray of Pinewood; father, Harvey McKnight Jr. of Dalzell; a daughter, Jazzlyn Cierria McCray of Timmonsville; two sisters, Wanda Denise McKnight of Sumter and Stacy McCray of Pinewood; four brothers, Rodney Oneal McKnight of Manhattan, N.Y., Joseph McCray of Columbia, Scott McCray of Atlanta, Ga., and Derrick (Rosa) Evans of New Zion; two devoted grandparents, Harvey Sr. and Mattie McKnight of Lynchburg; eight uncles; three aunts; one niece; a special friend, Julia Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Samuel B. Cooper, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Revs. Robert Rabb and John Barr.
Burial was in Goodman Cemetery.
Job’s Mortuary Inc. of Sumter was in charge of arrangements.
