Joan C. Parant

Joan C. Biedermann Parant, 66, wife of Harry W. Parant III, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at her home in Summerton.

Born Nov. 11, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Rose Thiel Biedermann. She was of the Lutheran faith. She loved flowers and gardening.

Surviving besides her husband of Summerton are two sons, Neal J. Parant of Bradenton, Fla., and John M. (Debra) Parant of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren, Jessica and Joseph Parant of Cleveland, Ohio, and Hannah and Paige Parant of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Nancy Guldenbecker of Joliet, Ill., and Susan Lentz of Naples, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Lee Memorial Park in Fort Myers, Fla.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of local arrangements.
