Stephenson F. Barrett Sr.

Stephenson Fredrick Barrett Sr. age 61, of New Zion, died April 1, 2008 in a Charleston hospital after an illness.

Born in Sumter County he was a son of Mrs. Posie Chinetta Roberts Barrett and the late James Fredrick Barrett. He was employed in the highway construction industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manning.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one daughter, Brenda Joyce Barrett.

He is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Barrett Johnson of St. Stephen; five sons, James Everette Barrett of Dazell, Larry Fredrick Barrett of New Zion, Stacy Lynn Barrett, Stevenson Fredrick Barrett, Jr. and Bryan Britt Barrett all of Manning; one sister, Mary Lou B. Hardy of Manning; one brother, David Richard Barrett Sr.; and fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 4, 2008 in the Chapel of Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.

Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Floyd Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
