Louise C. Smith

Louise Carraway Smith, 75, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 20, 1931, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Louie and Emma Mims Carraway. She was former Clarendon County attendance supervisor, a member of Summerton Baptist Church, and a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are two daughters, Dina (Dr. L.A.) Robinson and Cindy (Gene) Phillips; a brother, Harold Carraway of Moses Lake, Wash.; four grandchildren, Trey Phillips, Brad Phillips, and Emily Robinson, all of Summerton, Tara Robinson (Jake) Holliday of Columbia and Cary Robinson of Clemson; and three great-grandchildren, Delaney Peeler, Wells Robinson and Wilder Robinson, all of Summerton.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lonnie Robinson; a sister, Cindy Kahley; and a brother, Marshall Carraway.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Summerton Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Pierce and the Rev. Tom Mellette officiating.

Burial followed in St. Paul Cemetery in Summerton.

Pallbearers were Trey Phillips, Brad Phillips, Cary Robinson, Jake Holliday, Dr. Michael Connors, Bobby Baucom, Troy Allan and David Tindal.

Memorials may be made to the Lonnie Robinson Athletic Fund, c/o Clarendon Hall, P.O. Box 609, Summerton, S.C. 29148.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning, was in charge of arrangements.
