Rena H. Durham
WEST COLUMBIA – Rena Hudson Durham, 87, widow of Clarence N. Durham, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2007.
Born in Clarendon County on Aug. 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin J. Hudson and Effie Irene Kolb Hudson.
She was a longtime resident of West Columbia and a member of Westside Baptist Church for 47 years. She enjoyed her Sunday school class.
Survivors include her son, Norman Durham; sister, Sara Hudson (Sidney) Strange; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Ellie Hudson Pack Betts, Emmie Lee Hudson Delorey Holladay, Ailene Hudson Singletary, Eva Hudson and Annie Hudson Geddings; brothers, Neal Hudson, Riley Hudson and Timothy Hudson.
Mrs. Durham was a loving wife, mother and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to especially thank the members of her Sunday school class for their love and prayers, and a special thanks to Dr. Carl White and the staff of Oakleaf Village in Lexington for their care.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.
Interment followed in Southland Memorial Gardens.
