Carolyn D. Hilton

Carolyn Diane Hilton, 46, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Pa.

Born Nov. 8, 1961, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of Robert Lee Hilton Sr. and the late Daisy Mae Conyers Hilton.

She attended the public schools of Clarendon County and was employed at Lake Marion and Manor West nursing homes as a certified nursing assistant.

Survivors include her father, Robert Lee Hilton Sr. of Manning; four daughters, Kizzy (Brian) Young and Karla Hilton, both of Copperas Cove, Texas, Kimyada Hilton of St., Stephens and Kaylah Hilton of Manning; eight grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lee Hilton Jr. of Lancaster, Pa., a nephew; and a dear friend, Edward Pompey Jr.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Hayes F. and LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel in Manning, with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating, assisted by the Revs. Eloise Pompey and Anthony Mouzon and Minister David Woods.

Burial followed in State Cemetery in the Jordan community of Manning.

Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
