| The 6th Congressional District GOP Convention was held on Saturday March 22, 2008 in Orangeburg. The 6th Congressional District of South Carolina is composed of all of Bamberg, Clarendon, Colleton, Marion and Williamsburg counties and portions of Berkeley, Calhoun, Charleston, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Lee, Orangeburg, Richland and Sumter counties. Three people were elected as delegates from the 6th district to the National GOP Convention to be held in Minneapolis this summer. Elected were Lt. Governor Andre Bauer from Charleston, Dr. Joe Flowers of Colleton and Moye Graham from Clarendon County. Alternates elected were Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers of Bowman, Charles Appleby of Florence and Kevin Hall of Columbia. Pictured are Bauer, Weathers and Graham. Graham, who resides in Manning, was also appointed as the Secretary-Treasurer of the 6th District GOP. |
