Idelle Sullivan Nesbit
Idelle Sullivan Nesbit, 97, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Crowne Health Care of Greenville, Alabama.
Born July 23, 1910, in Chesterfield County, she was a daughter of the late William Augustus “W. A.” Sullivan and the late Mary Frances Fincher Sullivan. She was married to the late George Albert Nesbit Jr., who died in 1991, a graduate of Berry College in Rome, Ga., and a member of Santee Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, George A. (Dean) Nesbit III of Boise, Idaho, Calvin W. (Jane) Nesbit of Columbia, and David T. (Brenda) Nesbit of Manning; a daughter, Mary Alice (Steve) McGee of Greenville, Ala.; a brother, Jimmy Sullivan of Augusta, Ga; twelve grandchildren, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Matthew, Paul, and Will (Crystal) Nesbit, Glen Arnsdorff, Debra (Mark) Atwell, Steve (LaRita) McGee Jr., Angela and Andrea McGee, Regina Phipps, and Rebecca Nesbit; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard A. Nesbit of Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 14, 2008, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Rev. Jimmy Eldreth officiating.
Burial was held in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
