Blanda Lee C. Jackson

Blanda Lee Carter Jackson, 71, wife of Wingrove Jackson, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 17, 1936, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Dessie Moore and Anna Simon Carter Nedd and stepdaughter of the late Willie Carter and Harrison Nedd. She received her formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. She was employed as a dietician at Baptist-Wells Medical Center. She worshiped Jehovah at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Manning.

She is survived by her husband, Wingrove Jackson of the home; two daughters, Theresa Brunson of New York, N.Y., and Lenore Brunson of Manning; three grandchildren, Tirah, Marcus and Toni Brunson; and three great-grandchildren, Malik, Quiarah and Calil Brunson.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Manning, with Brother Charles White officiating.

Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
